This recipe can scale down easily. To make a single serving, use 1/2 cup rolled oats, 1 cup water, and a pinch of salt. Your recipe will still turn out creamy and delicious!
Use an oven safe bowl (for four servings I use a 7 cup size) and place on a trivet.
I recommend covering your oven-safe bowl with a silicone lid cover. COVERING IS ESSENTIAL.
Use plate tongs to help you remove your warm bowl of oatmeal.
